Check out the new trailer for the upcoming season of LifeCHANGE. It is such a wonderful and inspiring organization!
GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Dr. Matt Hunter might be spending his days behind bars, but his former portrayer,Jason Cook, has been globetrotting as part of his efforts to create a meaningful, unscripted program called LifeCHANGE. Together with his partners, Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), her brother, Todd Zucker, and Steve Fenske, he traveled to Middleburg, South Africa, recently to collaborate with Africa Rising (which was founded by two grandsons of former President Nelson Mandela) and The Thirst Project. While there, the group put two young people from America and two from South Africa through their LifeCHANGE Leadership Program. Then they took the participants to Swaziland where they had an opportunity to help improve local access to clean drinking water. “I had always done charity work before and outreach projects with my church while growing up,” offers Cook, who is serving as both director and executive producer of the show. “I’m incredibly proud to be a part of this project.”
Emmy-nominated actress Arianne Zucker has partnered with her ex-Days of Our Lives co-star Jason Cook, to create the philanthropic website and online documentary series LifeCHANGE.
Set for takeoff in the summer of 2012, the LifeCHANGE series will offer its six participants the opportunity to travel, build new relationships and experience the warmth that results from helping others in need, while overcoming challenges, tests and obstacles on their path to self-discovery.
Soap Opera Digest has an article up about LifeCHANGE. Check it out 🙂
When Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS) approached former co-star Jason Cook (Matt, GH; ex-Shawn, DAYS) about a project she and her brother,Todd, were working on, he jumped on board right away. Nearly two years later, the trio has created LifeCHANGE, a documentary series that they hope will drastically change lives. “We’re taking six young adults, between the ages of 18-25 and we’re going to put them through a leadership mentor program through Derrick Boles and his L.E.A.D.E.R.S.H.I.P 1st organization and then send them off to the St. Benard Project in New Orleans to help rebuild homes in the ninth ward,” says Arianne. “This gives kids who have maybe even never been outside their neighborhood an opportunity to find who they are, meet new people and also build and give back. They’ll also be able to go off and experience New Orleans on their own and really see beyond what is right in front of their nose.”
